Favorite Fridays: Oxygen Bonding Base Coat

I sure haven't done a Favorite Friday in forever! I think my last one was when I was pregnant! YIKES!!!

Well, I will try to keep this short and sweet. There's a product out there that is instantly my new favorite, Julep's oxygen bonding base coat!

Photo courtesty of julep.com

I'm a member of the Julep Maven Box. There are lots of beauty boxes around, but by far this is my favorite. For $19 I get a box with 2-3 full size Julep polishes plus a FULL size beauty product. Julep polishes retail for $14 for JUST one at Sephora, Ulta, etc so this is a GREAT deal. Anyway, I got the oxygen smoothing base coat with my box. I felt dismissive of it, because I haven't had any luck with any top or base coat. I have tried most name brands (Essie, OPI) to regular brands (Sally Hansen, etc) and nothing helps my polish from chipping after a day, sometimes it chips within the day! I decided to use it and boy, I am SO happy I got it. It dries extremely quickly, and creates a nice matte finish to your nails. However, the ICING on the cake is that after day 6 (did my nails on Sunday), my nails STILL HAVE NOT completely chipped off! I have the tiniest chip on one nail, but the fact that I have about 99% of my  nail polish on is truly incredible!! Here are my nails:

After day 6....not that bad!!!

Guys, can't rave ENOUGH about this product. It costs about $18 at your local Sephora. It may feel like a bit of sting, but if it keeps your mani on for a week, it's well worth it. I am so happy! Go ahead and get yours.

Happy Friday!

Favorite Fridays: Julep Maven nails

Hi friends,

are you shocked I am actually doing a favorite Fridays post?!?!?!? I know! Its only been like what, 4 months?!?!

Well, I am here to rave about my favorite latest obsession, Julep maven nails . It is a mail-a-box to you system. I know what you thinking. I thought the same thing. I have tried make up boxes and honestly, I am not impressed. Too overpriced and the products are LAME. I had heard about  Julep through a fellow blogger, and what sold me was that she said the nail polish lasted for days! She is also a very busy mommy of 2, so I believed her! This is the real deal. Julep is definitely high end and definitely not crappy products. I have received two boxes already and it feels like Christmas!

I joined Julep while on hospital bed rest. A bit impulsive, but hey, this mama deserved it! You pay $20 a month, BUT you get 2 FULL size nail polishes, plus a full size product that can range from some sort of lotion or nail maintenance product. If you are still not convinced, bear in mind just one of these full size nail polishes costs you $14 at Sephora. Or the price of $20, you get two plus another full size product. Sounds fabulous to me!

I will sadly admit, as of late, painting my nails is no longer a priority. When I am not suctioning spit ups, rocking a crying babe and/or my Ro is sleeping, I am usually trying to sleep or clean. However, when daddy gets home, I try to polish up my neglected nails.

So far, I have built up a small collection.  Currently, this is what I have stockpiled, and I love it! The colors are fun, dry quickly and this is my favorite, it comes off EASILY. I usually fight in taking off my nail polish, especially glitter. However, I swear, this practically comes off with one swipe. I am more sold than ever!

Right now, these are my current nails

Can't wait to paint these pretty little nails!

If you join, you won't be disappointed!

Favorite Fridays: workout edition

Its another Favorite Friday post!

This time, its actually not about anything beauty! As many of you know, I have been trying to make a lifestyle change with eating and working out. It definitely hasn't been easy, but I am trying to keep going.

There are times where I am too lazy to go to the gym and would rather snuggle up on the couch. To prevent myself from doing that, I have found some good videos to help when I'm struggling to go to the gym. These videos are nice and quick, but man, they aren't easy. The youtube channel is called "fit sugar" and it has TONS of videos that are awesome. Here are my top 2 favorites:

This video is how to get "Madonna" like arms. This video is a mere ten minutes, but holy moly it is hard!!!

This next video focuses on your legs. It is very painful but it hurts so good! Again, only 10 minutes! Love!

I'm trying to make an effort to always go to the gym, but for times that I am too lazy/not able to, these videos are perfect!

Favorite Fridays: Purity

To my faithful 3 readers,

It's another Favorite Fridays post!!!

This post is dedicated to my favorite face wash, Philosophy's Purity cleanser.

DISCLAIMER...before you tune out (because its another beauty post), I promise it won't all be on beauty products. I just happen to really, really love this.  I bought it at Costco in a 2 pack for $24. It's normally $19 for 6 ounces.

This is seriously the best stuff ever. My skin has been crazy in the last few years. Super dry, accompanied with some redness and the "hi I'm 14 years old again" breakouts.

Ugh.

This stuff is is gentle on my skin while making my face feel, well, pure, lol!!!
It's not cheap face wash so when I run out it will be a sad day. However, I would scour online to see if you could get it cheaper. I highy recommend it!

Have a great weekend!
