I am planning on doing a fun little "segment" on my blog called "Favorite Fridays". I just decided this, lol! I also realize today is Saturday, but oh well, I'll start a day late. These posts will be the obvious, a few of my favorite things =].
Today's (day late) post will be on my most favorite makeup essentials that I can't live without. I'm including prices and where I got in case any of you guys want to find these items:
1. My smashbox palette: I bought this palette for a mere 10 bucks at Sephora. It's normally over $40 (yikes!). I got a fabulous deal and this was after christmas. I love this palette, as it has soft, neutral colors that you can wear everyday.
2. Mary Kay lipstick in Downtown Brown: I am IN LOVE with this color, and have been using it for about 6 years. It costs about $15. Its the perfect dark brown with a hint of red without looking too goth.
3. Rosebud Salve: I discovered this almost 4 years ago in Sephora. It costs about 6 bucks. I love the vintage look, and it smells amazing. Its a sheer color, and the perfect "chapstick". I apply it at least 20 times a day, haha!
4. Bella Bamba by Benefit: I got this in a Benefit make up kit. These blushes ain't cheap. They are about 28 bucks (gulp). However, the color is a fun, bright pink and gives the perfect rosy glow.
5. Medocino blush by Cargo: I got this at Sephora on clearance for 8 bucks. Normally they are also 29 bucks. I recommend going to Sephora in Jc Penny's, as they have the BEST clearance, hence the low price. This is a darker pink, but it has a hint of gold that I love.
6. Tarte eylash curler: you can find this with a sample mascara at Ulta for $16. This eyelash curler HANDS DOWN is the best. My eyelashes are perfectly curled. I am obsessed with this curler. I can't live without it!
7. Smashbox O-Glossgold- Got this guy in a Sephora lip set. Normally $25. The perfect lip color. It is the perfect shade of gold without being too crazy. Perfect to put over a dark lip.
8. Bare Minerals foundation in medium beige- $28 at Ulta and Sephora. I have tried many a foundation over the years, but this is the BEST for my skin and the look is flawless. LOVE.
9. Time Balm face primer- BEST. PRIMER. EVER. I love this primer so much. You can get it either and thebalm.com or Sephora for $30. It's a pinch pricey but I seriously love how it makes my skin feel (super satiny!) and the makeup looks perfect over it.
10. Cargo Essential Palette in Dark Neutral: $34 bucks at Sephora. Gorgeous colors that are easy to wear and the colors have a good staying power.
Hope you enjoyed my little favorites post. You probably noticed a pattern...that many of these items were in gift sets. I highly recommend hitting up Sephora after the holidays, as you get many of these things in sets for dirt cheap. Also, make sure you scour the clearance. I have gotten so many good items for an excellent price! Have a great weekend!
